Adobe Acrobat 3D 8.1.2 Security Update 1 - multiple languages

The Adobeᆴ Acrobatᆴ 8.1.2 Professional, Standard, and 3D Security Update 1 addresses a buffer overflow security vulnerability as described in Adobe Security Bulletin APSB08-15. Adobe always recommends that you install the latest security updates. For more information, see the Release Notes.

This multilingual update can be applied to English, French, German, and Japanese versions of Acrobat 8 3D.

Acrobat 3D 8.1.2 Security Update 1 for Windowsᆴ requires the following:


  • Intelᆴ Pentiumᆴ processor (Pentium 4 or M recommended)
  • Microsoftᆴ Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2, Windows XP Professional or Home Edition, or Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5
  • 512MB of RAM (1GB recommended)
  • 1GB of available hard-disk space (includes cache for optional installation files)
  • 1,024x768 screen resolution
  • CD-ROM drive
  • Video card with pixel shader support and DirectX 8.1 required for video hardware acceleration (recommended for optimal performance)
  • Internet or phone connection required for product activation

Installation Instructions

After downloading a ".msi" file in Windows, double-click on the ".msi" file to access the file's contents.

This update requires that Acrobat 8.1.2 is installed on your system. To determine which version of Acrobat you have currently installed, choose Help > About Acrobat. The version number appears in the upper left corner below the Acrobat logo.

Users with version 8 should apply the 8.1, 8.1.1, and 8.1.2 updates before proceeding with this update to version 8.1.2 Security Update 1.

If you have version 8.1.2 installed, download and install the incremental patch.

After downloading the MSI update file, double-click the file to begin the update process.
