The Adobe PostScript Printer Driver (AdobePS) lets you print documents from Mac OS applications to a PostScript printer. When you use AdobePS with the PDF Printer Driver Plug-in, you can

-- set up and select an "Acrobat PDF" custom printer from the Printer menu of AdobePS

Copy the PDFPlugIn file and the Acrobat Distiller (PPD) file into the System Folder:Extensions:Printer Descriptions folder, replacing any existing files.
You do not need to restart your computer. The PDF option will be available the next time you open the Page Setup or Print dialog box within an application.
