The Adobe PhotoDeluxe 4.0.1 Update installs a new PhotoDeluxe application and a new DLL file. These new files will allow you to e-mail images directly out of PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0; PhotoDeluxe e-mail will no longer be refused by the security layer on the PhotoDeluxe mail server.
For versions of PhotoDeluxe that support importing PictureCD images (U.S. English, U.K. English, French, German, Swedish and Dutch language versions of PhotoDeluxe), an updated import filter will be installed. You will now be able to load images from PictureCD catalogs when the corresponding PictureCD CD-ROM is inserted in your CD-ROM drive.
NOTE: No Picture CD support is available for Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Traditional Chinese or Korean versions of PhotoDeluxe. No built-in Picture CD support is planned for these versions of PhotoDeluxe.
No other features are added with this installer.

To install the Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 4.0.1 Update:
1. Exit from Adobe PhotoDeluxe.
2. Double-click the pdx401upfrec.exe file.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
When you start PhotoDeluxe 4.0.1, the startup screen will show version 4.0.1. Your user name and serial number, however, will be listed generically as "USERUSER USER", and "SERIALSERIALSERIAL." Your original serial number can be found with the PhotoDeluxe documentation. If you received PhotoDeluxe with a hardware device (e.g., scanner, digital camera, or printer), your serial number is located on your PhotoDeluxe CD-ROM in a file named "setup.ini."
Getting properties on the new pd4.exe will still display version 4.0, not 4.0.1.
