Building Dynamic Pages: Editing Database Records

This topic page is useful for customers using Dreamweaver to build a page in a website that will allow visitors to edit database records. Only developers creating pages using a scripting language will benefit.

Why would you allow visitors to edit database records ?

A typical example is an admin page that allows qualified users to modify content in the database, but even a publicly accessible contact form may connect to a database, requiring that the form code edits (adds) a database record.
