Add an image to the mock-up

Now you'll add a picture of a tiger to the area designated for the Flash movie. If you haven't downloaded the image of the tiger provided with this tutorial, return to the contents page and do so before proceeding.

1 With your mock-up document open, select File > Import.
2 Navigate to the tiger image you downloaded for this tutorial (tiger_image.gif) and select it. Once you select the image, your cursor changes to an import pointer (a corner symbol).
3 Place the import pointer to the right of the words "The Wildlife Project" in the central black rectangle and click the mouse button.
The tiger image appears in your document.

4 Depending on how small or large you drew your rectangles, the imported image may not fit precisely into the black rectangle. Resize the image by holding down the Shift key and dragging the corners of the image until it fits within the borders of the rectangle.

Holding down the Shift key while dragging retains the image's proportions.
Remember that you can position objects more precisely by using the arrow keys on your computer keyboard. The arrow keys will move the selected image up, down, left, and right, one point at a time.
Note: If you de-select the image after you import it, you must use the Subselect tool to select it again. Alternatively, you can use the Pointer tool after choosing Edit > Select > None.
