You can modify pages in the sample site to create the pages for your site. To customize a sample page, follow the instructions in Editing a template and updating pages. Modifying a sample page does not affect the template used to create the page. However, if you modify a library item on a sample page, you can choose to update all instances of the item throughout the site.

To modify the E-zine about.htm sample page as shown here, enter custom text in the editable regions of the page. To modify the header graphic and navigation bar, modify the layout template (layout.dwt) that was used to create the site. See Editing a template and updating pages.
