Going forward: Component skins

You might want to change the appearance of the Flash UI components to better match the look and feel of your personal or corporate website. By modifying the skins of the Flash UI components you can easily change their appearance.

Component skins are made up of movie clips inside the Flash document's library. Skin symbols are located in the Flash UI Components/Component Skins library folder. Each Flash UI component has a folder for its skin symbols.

Below is a version of the completed sample movie that has been skinned.

This sample file requires the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

Download it now.

1 To view the skinned version of order_form.fla, open order_form_skinned.fla in the Order_form/Skinned folder you downloaded.
In authoring mode the skinned version looks the same as the original. Modified skins will only appear when the movie is tested.
2 Test the movie by choosing Control > Test Movie.
For more information on skinning components see the Using Components chapter of the Using Flash manual or Flash Help by choosing Help > Using Flash (Flash MX and later users only).
