Flash Communication Server Updater Release 3

November 15, 2005 This security patch to Flash Communication Server fixes a vulnerability in the server.  The server does not sufficiently validate some RTMP data, which can cause server instability or crashes.  Please follow the installation instructions included in the patch.

Flash Communication Server Authoring Components Updater for Flash MX 2004

December 19, 2003 This updater enables the Flash Communication MX 1.5 authoring components to work within the Flash MX 2004 authoring environment. Before downloading the installers below, please read the following:

The NetConnection Debugger is not distributed with the Flash Communication Server authoring extensions for Flash MX 2004. To obtain the NetConnection Debugger, download and install the Flash Remoting Components from the Macromedia Flash Remoting MX Components page.

Mac OS X users may experience problems viewing help pages for the Communication App Inspector in Internet Explorer browsers. If some help pages fail to load in Internet Explorer, switch your default web browser to Safari to resolve the problem. To specify Safari as your default web browser, launch Safari and open the Preferences dialog from the Safari menu. A pull-down menu allows you to select a default web browser for your system.
