When Adobe Form Publisher attempts to list forms deployed to Adobe Form Server configured as part of a J2EE installation, an error message, "Error retrieving Directory Listing", is produced. Form Server PublishFormServlet, used in the samples for Java three-tier configurations, generates this error when it receives a request that does not contain a Content-type header. The patch contains a fix to handle this condition.

Adobe Form Server 5.0 Patch 5.0.4344

Date: February 7, 2003
Product: Adobe Form Server 5.0
Size: 6.98 MB

This patch resolves the following issues:

  • PDF form documents do not print when they include one or more radio buttons.

  • Radio button data is not included when data is exported to Forms Data Format (FDF).

  • Form Server fails to correctly process formatted numbers that are larger than the long data type limit of 2,147,483,647.

  • Large PDF forms render slowly.

Installing this patch resolves these issues. However, the improvement in performance when rendering PDF forms consists of an optional enhancement flag that you enable in your Web application. Enabling this flag is a manual process, and the procedure is outlined in Improving PDF Performance section of the readme file.
