What are RSS feeds?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary) is a way for websites to summarize their content, such as news articles or blog entries, and deliver headlines, descriptions, and links for easy, clutter-free access to the information you want most. The information is delivered through a "feed." The feeds are collected by an RSS newsreader application.

Many websites generate RSS feeds such as the BBC News (RSS), Yahoo News (RSS), and probably your favorite blog. You can find many RSS feeds at Technorati, Feedster, and Syndic8.com.

How to use RSS feeds

An RSS newsreader, sometimes called a news aggregator, sets up an automated delivery of information (a feed) to your desktop. It lets you read the information in the same newsreader interface. A newsreader may also help organize feeds for easy referral.

Many web browsers, including Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari (Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger only) browsers, can read and display RSS feeds.

Note: Right-click or copy the desired Adobe RSS feed link and paste it into your RSS feed reader.

There are also a number of freely available news aggregators:
