Association of Personal Computer User Groups (APCUG)

The Association of Personal Computer User Groups is an organization dedicated to fostering communications among and between personal computer user groups as well as assisting groups in fulfilling their educational missions and activities. As such, the APCUG operates as an information network of user group organizations and is structured as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, educational corporation. APCUG membership is open to all microcomputer user groups. At present, some of the members of APCUG are computer societies that serve many different computers; a large number of members are, however, DOS and Windows compatible user groups.

Because membership in the APCUG is by user group, each user group must have its board of directors or similar governing body approve membership in the APCUG. Once that is done, organizations should fill out the User Group Registration form, the Appointment of Designated User Group Representative form, include a US$75 check for the new member fee and the first year's annual dues payable to APCUG, and mail to APCUG, 4798 S. Florida Avenue, Suite 241, Lakeland, FL 33813-2181, USA. You may also register on-line.

Internet Newsgroup

Check out USENET Newsgroups in Adobe's product section in the Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator areas. Join an electronic mailing newsgroup and use e-mail to distribute questions and answers on a particular topic. You can post questions about a topic to all the members of the mailing group. Electronic mailing newsgroups require e-mail access to the Internet. For those with Internet newsgroup access (e.g., Netscape™, America Online®, Compuserve®, Newswatcher, FreeAgent, etc.), you can start a topic discussion today!
