| Web designers using Adobe® Illustrator® 9 can not only create the user interface and artwork for this web application, but can add mouse event attributes to specific objects with the SVG Interactivity Palette (see lesson). |

| For example, the tool tips that appear as users mouse over the different tools and symbols have been created and hidden on their own layers in the Illustrator file. Adding the proper mouse events to the tool icons make the corresponding tool tips display on mouseover and hide on mouseout. Additional mouseclick events call a corresponding JavaScript function created by the developer of the application. |
