If you decide to unstack a group of photos, just right-click a collapsed stack and choose Stack > Unstack Photos from the context menu. Don’t choose the Flatten Stack command, because it deletes all photos in a stack except the topmost. The Flatten Stack command is useful if you no longer want a stack, just the top photo.
