Macromedia has announced an amendment to the Macromedia Volume Licensing Programme that will allow government departments and related public-sector organisations to enter the program at Band D, which provides significant discounts from the estimated street price. There will be no minimum entry requirement, allowing customers to purchase one product per time if they need to. This discount is only available to purchases under the MVLP agreement and will not be made available to purchases of box product. Contact your authorised Macromedia reseller for more information.
This move is a direct response to feedback from our government customers, and our reseller partners who work closely with them," said Steve Miller, Macromedia's vice-president for Europe. It is one way in which we felt able to help with the many initiatives towards eGovernment, accessibility, and accountability in public administration.

Adobe will end of life the MVLP program, as a part of the consolidation of programs and services, effective March 31, 2006. Until this time, the MVLP program will continue to be available on a transactional basis only.
