While there is no student discount for Photoshop specifically, there’s a range of Photoshop and Lightroom plans available.

Students can get Adobe for free by signing up to a free trial of the Creative Cloud suite. The seven-day trial provides free access to apps such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.

After the trial has expired, students benefit from a 65% student discount on the 12-month Creative Cloud student package – which includes 100GB of free cloud storage, access to Acrobat and Adobe Scan, as well as tutorials, templates, and project ideas.

Students can get Adobe Photoshop for free by signing up to a seven-day trial. This provides free access to Photoshop – plus 100GB of cloud storage, Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat, and a selection of premium fonts. After the free trial has expired, the standard subscription costs £16.24 per month for the first year, then £24.96 per month after that. 

To qualify for the 65% student discount on Creative Cloud, you must be at least 13 years old and enrolled in:
 

  • University or college
  • Primary or secondary school
  • Home-schooling


The best way to buy the Creative Cloud student package is by visiting Adobe’s online portal. At the checkout, you’ll need to provide the name of your school and confirm whether you’re a student, teacher, or administrator.

If you use a school issued email address during purchase, then you are instantly verified.
If you aren’t using a school issued email address then, follow these steps:
 

  1. Gather the correct information. Make a note of your email address and product code. Have a digital copy of your proof of eligibility to hand.
  2. Log into the Adobe Customer Care Portal. Unless you already have an Adobe ID, you’ll need to create one.
  3. Fill out the order fulfilment form. Enter the product code which came with the Student Edition software you purchased.
  4. Attach a copy of your eligibility. Check which documents you need to prove your eligibility (usually a School ID card, tuition bill, or report card) and attach it to the completed form.
  5. Wait to receive your serial number. You can expect to receive the number for the Adobe Student Edition product within three days. While you’re waiting you can install your software in trial mode.

Adobe must verify that you are indeed eligible for a student discount. If you have a school issued email address (for example .edu or any domain name reserved for higher education institutions), you will be instantly verified.

If you do not have a school issued email address, you will need to provide a copy of one of the following to confirm your eligibility:
