The creative bug bit him at an early age when his mom said, “Shhh, the pastor is speaking — draw something.” At the age of 17 he was working with desktop publishing apps such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Working with Canada’s national newspaper he created a PDF workflow, using Adobe Acrobat, that saved the company time and money and gave the editorial staff an extra day to create and edit content.
Moving from print-based graphic design to the web in 2000, he was able to carry over traditional graphic design skills and apply them to interactive design.
Brandon has a master’s degree in professional communications from Royal Roads University, where he was the recipient of the Founder’s Award.
