"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."
— Robert Frost
Always seeking new methods to enrich his teaching, Sebastian J. Dorok became the German school podcasting pioneer and now teaches New Media to teachers all over Germany and the surrounding states in his free time.
During his time at university (Dortmund), he founded the information portal www.tastengott.com for music teachers, which mainly deals with New Media in music teaching.
Dorok frequently publishes articles in German teachers' magazines. Examples include articles for Praxis des Musikunterrichts, a German magazine for music teachers; LOG-IN, the only German magazine for IT teachers; and Der fremdsprachliche Unterricht, a magazine for ESL teachers.
While he was a trainee-teacher, Dorok also taught New Media courses at the University of Dortmund and published the world's first class music concept for band instruments ("First Class Rock") together with his friend Michael Fromm. From 2005 to 2007, he worked as an Apple Distinguished Educator and joined the newly founded German AEL team in 2008.
