For this memorable image of Roger Clemens on the downside of his career, Loughran studied numerous images of the great pitcher. He found after a while that Clemens generally made a pause after each pitch and seemed to have a moment of relief before gearing up for the next pitch. The colours used here try to catch the idea of a "sunset" period in Clemens's career, without being too obvious about it. This is an excellent example of the kind of "emotional" images Loughran prefers to work on.
