Make text changes more quickly
With Acrobat XI, you don't have to go back to the marked-up PDF on a comment-by-comment basis. Instead, bring all the comments over at once to update your Word doc faster.
Pick and choose comment types
In Acrobat XI, you can choose to export all comments, comments with check marks, or text edits only. You can also apply custom filters for even more control.
Catch every comment
Once comments have been brought into Word, an Acrobat dialog box can walk you through the changes, one at a time, helping you reduce the chance of overlooking an edit.
Save comments in Word to a PDF
It’s equally easy to bring comments from a Word doc into a PDF file. Comments will appear as sticky notes in the PDF that you can move, edit, and reply to during shared document reviews.

How to export comments made on a PDF into the original Word file in Windows:
- Open a PDF file that includes comments in Acrobat XI.
- Click the options icon under the Comments List in the Comment pane.
- Select Export to Word.
- In the next dialog box, locate the original Word source file to export the comments into.
- Select the type of comments you want to import, and click Continue.
- If desired, use an Acrobat dialog box in your Word file to address each change.
