OpenGL support for After Effects
OpenGL high-fidelity support in After Effects CS4 Professional includes support for blending modes, adjustment layers, track mattes, accelerated effects, anti-aliasing, 2D motion blur, lights, and shadows.
On Microsoft® Windows® XP and Microsoft® Vista® systems, display card drivers that support OpenGL 2.0 or higher are required to take advantage of the high-fidelity OpenGL support in Adobe® After Effects® CS4 Professional software.
A note to Mac OS X users: If you’re using After Effects CS4, be sure to download the After Effects CS4 (version 8.0.1) update, which for OpenGL support requires you to be using Mac OS 10.4.10 or higher. For the newest MacBook Pros with NVIDIA display chipsets, you will also need to install the MacBook Pro Software Update from Apple. To download the After Effects CS4 8.0.1 update, launch After Effects CS4, then choose Help > Updates.
Please ensure the most recent driver for your display card is installed. See the technical document for more information.
