Education Online Store FAQ
Who qualifies to purchase from the Education Online Store?
Student Edition: For student purchase only
Eligible individuals: Only full- or part-time students enrolled at a higher education establishment, defined as an accredited public or private university or college that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time study, or students enrolled at an accredited public or private secondary school providing full-time instruction are eligible to purchase Adobe Student Edition software.
Other education versions: For educational institutions, faculty, staff, teachers, and students
Qualified individuals who acquire Educational Software Products for their own personal use but not for further distribution or transfer and who have presented appropriate identification of current status as:
- Students enrolled at an accredited public or private primary or secondary school providing full-time instruction
- Full- or part-time students enrolled at a Higher Education Establishment, defined as an accredited public or private university or college that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time study
- Full- or part-time faculty and staff employed by accredited Educational Establishments
- Other qualified examples as listed by Adobe from time to time on its Internet website or in other written communication
Nonqualified examples
- Students not currently enrolled at an accredited Educational Establishment
- Faculty and staff not currently employed at an accredited Educational Establishment that grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time study
- Students, faculty, and staff who are not willing or able to provide appropriate identification
- Other unqualified examples as listed by Adobe from time to time on its Internet website
- Students, faculty, or staff enrolled at or employed by named educational entities; examples include hospitals, higher education research laboratories, educational consortia, and other examples that may be listed by Adobe from time to time on its Internet website or in other written communication
What forms of student/faculty identification are accepted?
Students
Students over 18 years of age must provide a valid, current student ID that includes name, date, and a photo.
If the student does not have a current student ID with name, date, and photo, the student must instead provide a valid photo ID and corroborating evidence of current enrollment:
- Official, current nonphoto student ID with name and date
- Official, current school transcript indicating name of school and student
- Official, current school tuition bill indicating name of school and student
- Official, current report card indicating name of school and student
- Other official dated proof of enrollment
Students under 18 years of age
Students who are under 18 and do not have a valid photo ID may provide an official letter from their eligible educational institution stating their name and current enrollment status.
Teaching staff
Members of teaching staff must provide a valid photo ID and corroborating evidence of employment at a qualified institution:
- Official, current institution pay cheque stub
- Official letter on school letterhead verifying person's employment

How much time do I have to submit my identification before the order expires?
If we do not receive your proof of eligibility within six days, your order will expire. Once your order expires, you must place your order again at the Online Store.

How long will it take to approve my order after I submit identification?
Once your proof of academic identification has been received, your order will be approved within one business day.

Do you retain my verification for future orders?
No. Since academic status can change every semester or quarter, we require you to resubmit proof of eligibility with every order.
