These two screen shots exhibit a common element of Kioken design, the use of cropped photographs that are cut into a frame rather than shrunk down to the size of postage stamps. The site tends to zoom in on the photos and present the people near to life size, rather than shrunk down. It's the opinion of the firm that this lends a more TV-like and warmer experience to a site. "Everything on the Web is too small," notes Na. "That makes the Web very cold sometimes, and we try to connect with the user in an emotional way."
