c2c-online Southern railway company c2c was going through a rebrand and a shift in corporate culture towards a more open way of conducting its business. Liquid Light was asked to design a website that incorporated those values. "The design is approachable, with young and lively imagery, but doesn't alienate traditional train travellers," says Finn Taylor. The site will also have features such as online ticket booking, and SMS messaging, where users sign up to be notified of late-running trains via mobile phone messages.

Photoshop was used to create the site's look-and-feel, and ImageReady was used to prepare and optimise the assets. Liquid Light put the site together in GoLive, "which was very useful because the content of the site wasn't finalised until relatively late - using GoLive we could pull pages out or put them in at very short notice," says Taylor. The site went live in July 2000. Visit it at c2c-online.
