There are several ways to extract images from a PDF. The two most common methods are copying the image you want and extracting specific pages from the document. Read on to learn more about which of these might work best.
Highlight and copy the image.
Everyone knows how helpful the copy-and-paste function is on a computer. Luckily, you can use the same process to extract images from PDF documents.
To save an image from a PDF, simply open the document and click on the image you want to extract. Once highlighted, right-click on the image and select Copy. Then, open your favorite document or image processor, and paste the copied image into it.
From there, you can right-click the image to save it to your computer as either a JPEG or PNG file for future use.
Extract specific PDF pages.
In many cases, the image you want to extract takes up a whole PDF page. If that’s the case, extracting the entire page from the document is best.
It’s easy to extract PDF pages with an online PDF editor like Adobe Acrobat online services. Just follow these steps:
- Go to the Acrobat online services website.
- Upload the PDF you want to extract the image from.
- Select the page or pages you want to extract.
- Click Extract.
- Download the new document to your device.
You’ll have a brand-new PDF document with just the extracted pages. This method is ideal if you want to save several images from the same PDF but still want to keep them together in the same file.
