Product innovation: Digital Publishing


As mobile devices and tablets become more popular with consumers, the Adobe® Digital Publishing Suite (DPS) family of products is effectively and efficiently bringing content to life in new ways. DPS enables content producers to transition hard copy books, magazines, catalogues and other materials to digital form. By leverage DPS, businesses are significantly reducing waste associated with the manufacturing, distribution and disposal of physical paper products.
DPS use has increased six-fold since 2010. In the same period, more than 2,000 mobile apps have been produced using DPS. These products are currently used by the largest consumer magazine publishers in North America, including Time Inc., Hearst and Condé Nast. Magazines that utilise DPS have not only reduced publishing costs and environmental impacts – they’ve expanded readership. Over the past 12 months, on average, magazines using DPS saw a 30 per cent increase in readership.
