How to go from 3D to 2D — or 2D to 3D — with Project Neo (beta) and Illustrator.
Create complementary dimensional and vector designs using familiar tools.
- Open the Project Neo web app and start creating volumetric designs using familiar concepts such as shape building. To start editing a vector design, click the Import SVG button and select the Illustrator file you want to edit.
- Use the Properties panel to blend shapes together and make adjustments to elements such as color, shape, and more.
- Use Style effects to apply new looks to your design such as Realistic or Vector Art, and to adjust the outline color and thickness.
- Use the slide rule at the top of your workspace to change the perspective and shadows.
- To quickly create design variations based on your artwork, use Scene to image, located in the Contextual Task Bar.
- Once you’re ready to edit your artwork in Illustrator, set the Style of your design to either Vector Art or Pixelated.
- Use the Frame tool in the Contextual Task Bar to frame your design, making any adjustments to perspective or hiding any elements for a cleaner look before you export it.
- Click the Share button and select Send to Illustrator as vectors. Your design will automatically open inside Illustrator as a fully editable, scalable vector which you can immediately begin applying to branding, mockups, and more.
