Getting started: Finding files, folders, tools
Follow these simple steps to get familiar with Acrobat Reader:

Finding files

In the My Documents view, the Location Chooser may display these document locations:

Moving files

Note: Create the destination folder ahead of time.

  1. Open My Documents.
  2. Tap Local or Document Cloud.
    • On phones, tap and then tap Select.
    • On tablets, tap in the upper right.
  3. Select one or more files.
  4. Tap .
  5. Tap Move.
  6. Tap a folder.
  7. Tap Move.

Creating folders

There are two ways to create folders:

  1. Open My Documents.
  2. Tap Local or Document Cloud.
    • On phones, tap and then tap New Folder.
    • On tablets, tap .
  3. Enter a name.
  4. Tap Create folder.

When viewing a PDF, tap the middle of the screen to bring up the tool bars. Menus are context sensitive. For example, an unsecured PDF with no bookmarks will not display the lock or bookmark icon.

Switching tools

Acrobat Reader provides an ever-growing and rich set of tools for interacting with PDFs, including tools for viewing, editing, commenting, etc. Toolsets are available from the Tool Switcher. To open the Tool Switcher:
