Pattern effects can be produced easily at author time using the Deco tool. The Deco tool allows you to create a range of geometric pattern effects using a symbol from the library as the source graphic. Once a pattern is created, you can animate it as you would any other display object.

This sample demonstrates the use of the Deco tool to create a spiral pattern using a logo graphic. It also demonstrates the use of the PerspectiveProjection class to gain greater control over the pattern's animation through 3D space. You can adjust the field of view setting to see how it affects the rotationY and z properties which generate the animation.
