Adobe Flash Player allows you to create a text field in one of the following three ways:
- Dynamically using ActionScript at runtime
- Visually using the Text tool at author time
- Dynamically or visually using the TextInput, TextArea, or Label components
This sample demonstrates dynamically generated text values in the form of a paycheck calculator. Type some numbers into the text input fields to see the screen dynamically update itself. Notice that the sample uses regular text fields with font embedding turned on for the labels and display fields, and TextInput components for the typing fields.
