Harald Koebler was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to native German parents. When he was 9 years old his family moved back to Bavaria, Germany. In 2003 he obtained his Vordiplom (Bachelor of Science equivalent) in technical computer science at the University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg. He continued his higher education at Stuttgart Media University in media computer science. In 2004 he moved to Los Angeles, where he was a visiting student at the University of Southern California. He also held an internship at the award-winning web agency Hello Design. He returned to Stuttgart in 2005 to complete his Diplom (Masters Degree equivalent) in media computer science. In 2006 he was awarded an IT and media scholarship by MFG, a leading innovation agency in Europe. Currently, he is working on both his graduate thesis and with the award-winning German startup SPIELERKABINE.net, where he maintains a founder position. His others interests include restoring his classic car, surfing, and rocking out on the bass guitar.
