PolitiFact app, created by the St. Petersburg Times, helps users find the truth in politics. Reporters and researchers from the Times examine statements by members of Congress, the president, cabinet secretaries, lobbyists, people who testify before Congress, and anyone else who speaks up in Washington, and then rate the accuracy on the Truth-O-Meter: True, Mostly True, Half True, Barely True, False, and Pants on Fire (the lowest rating).
The application took about three weeks to build and shares the same content, data and, logic as the existing website. The app was quickly built and is easier to maintain on Android, BlackBerry Tablet OS, and iPhone because it shares a common code base.
