Wes McDermott
Wes is an artist who skillfully balances technical knowledge with artistic creativity. As a Creative 3D Evangelist & Community Advocate at Adobe, he is widely recognized as an expert teacher, sharing tutorials and tips through his YouTube and social media channels. Wes has also authored several books, including The PBR Guide: A Handbook for Physically Based Rendering, Real World Modo, and Creating 3D Game Art for the iPhone with Unity.
Illustrator, Designer, Storyteller
Afton Lin
Afton is a local Illustrator, Designer, Storyteller, and Founder of Taffy Studios. She’s passionate about creating vibrant designs and quirky imagery and aspires to uplift POC, Queer, and Women-owned businesses. Some of her previous clients include Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Oracle-Cerner, Monstera’s Books, JE Dunn Construction, Kansas City Parks and Recreation, and Tiki Taco. Along with running her Illustration and Design Studio, her personal practice revolves around narrative illustration, storytelling, content creation, and multi-media image making. Through her work, she hopes to connect with her community, uplift others, and add a little bit of fun into the world.

Violet Zadoyan
Hello! My name is Violet Zadoyan, and I'm a Kansas City-based graphic designer with a passion for branding and editorial design. I specialize in crafting visually compelling identities and long-form layouts that tell a story through thoughtful typography and composition. Currently, I’m completing my B.F.A. in Graphic Design at the Kansas City Art Institute, where I’ve refined my skills in publication design, typography, and brand strategy. Whether designing a book layout, building a brand, or self-publishing feminist zines, I love using design to create meaningful connections. I’m excited to keep exploring new creative challenges and pushing the boundaries of storytelling through design!
