Made Here
Wherever you are. Stay Creative.

“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” – Maya Angelou

We all know that inspiration can strike anywhere, and we believe creativity should also be able to happen everywhere. Made Here is a collection of work that has been created in over 10 countries across Asia Pacific, using a range of Adobe products and tools in a studio environment and on mobile. We tasked a selection of creatives to partner up, across different locations and disciplines, to create something amazing.  We hope the below will inspire you to keep making and forever stay creative.

James Tran (Australia) and Alicia Souza (India)

Illustrator Alicia Souza teamed up with Sydney photographer and filmmaker James Tran to bring her autobiographical characters to life, literally! Together they created an illustrated comic about the nostalgia of cities, with James shooting the frames of each scene, Alicia sketching her characters in Photoshop and sending back to James to animate in After Effects!

Rames Harikrishnasamy (Malaysia) and Mark Conlan (Australia)

Concept artists Mark and Rames have very distinct, individual styles. Rames focuses on mythologic storytelling via transformative digital composition whereas Mark’s storytelling is done via rich and vibrant illustrations. Combining work into a true collaboration was made possible thanks to Creative Cloud. They
would begin concepting in Adobe Sketch, set up a collective library to work together in Photoshop, separate their elements via layers and then add their individual touches despite being over 6000km apart!

One of Jeryl Tan’s most photographed landmarks in Singapore is Gardens by the Bay, which inspired him to work with Korean comic artist CJ Roblue to turn one of his photos into a cartoon illustration. The pair initially edited the photo in Lightroom and then they did some tracking and colouring in Adobe Sketch followed by some light adjustments in Photoshop, before turning the final piece into a video which you can view here!

Sha’an d’Anthes and Demas Rusli (Australia)

Sydney storytellers Sha’an and Demas combined Demas’ photography and Sha’an’s illustrations to place them in a real-life setting! The pair reworked a photo of Sydney Opera House, adding a watercolour textured background.

The driving theme behind Pazut and Martina’s art is positivity. They wanted to address the topic of productivity and burnout. Thanks to Photoshop and our brand-new painting app Fresco, both illustrators collaborated seamlessly to create this important message.

Martina created her initial pieces on Adobe Fresco before sharing with Pazut to incorporate his characters Tuagom and Bingsu in Photoshop.

Benjamin Lee and Tim Northey (Australia)

Travel photographers Benjamin Lee and Tim Northey wanted to show true remote creativity, creating video interpretations of each other’s past travel snaps from recent trips to Japan. They used a mixture of Camera Raw, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro to create their pieces.
