Adobe Stock is a service that gives creatives access to more than 200 million high-quality, royalty-free photos, vectors, illustrations, videos, templates, and 3D assets for their creative projects. Adobe Stock provides a marketplace for Adobe Stock Contributors to showcase and sell their digital content. The Adobe Privacy Policy describes the general privacy practices of Adobe’s websites and applications, including Adobe Stock.

In addition, please see below for Adobe Stock specific privacy-related information.

Adobe Stock Contributors

If you submit content to Adobe Stock for licensing, we may also require verification of your identity with a government issued ID and your tax forms, such as IRS Forms W-8 or W-9 required for tax purposes, and other information such as:

  • Contact information such as your name, address, email address, telephone number;
  • Payout email address;
  • Content metadata;
  • SSN / EIN

Such information that you provide to Adobe Stock may be used to:

  • Compensate you via third-party payment processors and prepare your tax forms
  • Help detect, investigate and prevent fraudulent activity
  • Reduce content duplication with our third-party content partners
  • Facilitate your participation in our interactive features such as blogs and forums

Such information may also be used for security purposes to protect you as well as Adobe.

We may share the information that you, as a Stock Contributor, provide to us with third-party service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf, such as, for example, payment processors and content partners.

Machine Learning

Adobe uses machine learning to process content that you submit to Adobe Stock for licensing. Therefore, the machine learning opt-out does not apply to the content Stock Contributors submit to Adobe Stock. If you do not want Adobe to use machine learning on your content, then please do not submit it to Adobe Stock for licensing.

Display of Personal Data

If you are an Adobe Stock Contributor, we will display your first and last name or the preferred name that you choose, on our website in connection with selling licenses for your content, including but not limited to displaying your name by your content, in the metadata of your content (if a customer downloads it), and in the shopping cart.

Model and Property Releases

If Adobe Stock receives model releases and property releases (as applicable) from you, we may process the information in those forms, including name, contact information and basic demographics, for the purposes of licensing the applicable content, investigating and defending legal claims, notifying trade unions such as SAG-AFTRA, and protecting third party legal rights.

Storage

Where you have licensed content to us, we need to keep a record of that in perpetuity for licensing, investigating and defending legal claims, to protect third party legal rights and for payment management purposes. Model and property releases also are kept in perpetuity (as certain content rights are perpetual) for licensing the content, investigating and defending legal claims, and to protect third party rights. We may also keep our Adobe Stock Contributors' payment details so we can verify that Adobe Stock paid the Adobe Stock contributors for the licenses that Adobe Stock sold.
