Scott Mahoy

SteveAnderson directs the PhD program in Media Arts and Practice in the Universityof Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. He is himself ascholar-practitioner working at the intersection of media, culture, andtechnology. His research interests include the theory and history of emergingtechnologies, documentary and experimental film and video, and interactivemedia design.

Anderson is also the associate editor of Vectors Journal ofCulture and Technology in a Dynamic Vernacular, an online journal seekingto redefine scholarly research and publication in the digital age. He iscurrently completing a book and companion digital media project titled Technologiesof History, which examines the construction of alternative histories infilm, video, and digital media.
