David Březina is a Czech type designer and typographer, writer, lecturer, the impresario of TypeTalks conference, and co-founder and director of the Rosetta typefoundry. From 2004 to 2007 he also ran his own design studio, with projects in graphic, web, and interface design. He got Masters degrees in Informatics (Masaryk University, Brno) and Typeface Design (University of Reading, UK). During his studies at the latter he focused on designing mulitlingual typefaces, researched and wrote a dissertation on the evolution of the Gujarati typefaces. Since then David has designed typefaces for Cyrillic, Greek, Gujarati, Devanagari, and various extensions of Latin. You may know him as a designer of the award-winning type family Skolar. Furthermore, he has been giving various type workshops around Europe.
