This Adobe® Reader® 8.1.1 update addresses several known issues in Adobe Reader 8 software. Adobe recommends that all Adobe Reader 8 users apply this update.

This multilingual update can be applied to English, French, German, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified), and Chinese (Traditional) versions of Adobe Reader 8.
If you have version 8.1.0 installed, download and install one of the following download files, depending on your processor:
Intel processor: AdbeRdrUpd811_all_i386.dmg
PowerPC G3, G4, G5 processor: AdbeRdrUpd811_all_ppc.dmg

Adobe Reader 8.1.1 for Mac OS requires the following:
PowerPC® G3, G4, G5 or Intel® processor
Mac OS X v10.4.3 to 10.4.9
128MB of RAM (256MB recommended for complex forms or large documents)
170MB of available hard-disk space
This update requires that Adobe Reader 8.1.0 is installed on your system. To determine which version of Adobe Reader you have currently installed, choose Adobe Reader > About Adobe Reader. The version number appears in the upper left corner below the Adobe Reader logo.
Users with version 8.0 in English should download and install the full version of 8.1.1 to be brought up to date. A full installer (English only) of version 8.1.1 is available from the primary Adobe Reader download page.
Users with version 8.0 in languages other than English will need to download and install version 8.1 before proceeding to download and install the incremental update to version 8.1.1.
After downloading the DMG update file, double-click the file to begin the update process.
