Create Adobe PDF enables you to easily create a PDF file from any application using the AdobePS 8.6 PostScript printer driver. It makes creating PDF files as easy as printing to a printer.
If you own Adobe Acrobat 4.0 for Mac OS and you use AdobePS 8.6 (the Adobe PostScript Printer driver) to print to PostScript devices, Adobe recommends that you install Create Adobe PDF. AdobePS 8.6.1 is available for free download from the Adobe Web site.
After you install Create Adobe PDF, you can select a special printer called "Create Adobe PDF" from within the Page Setup or Print dialog of AdobePS 8.6.

After downloading a ".bin" file on a Macintosh, double-click on the ".bin" file. Or, use StuffIt Expander by Allume Systems, Inc. to access the file's contents. StuffIt Expander is available as a freeware product.

To install Create Adobe PDF:
1. Double-click Install Create Adobe PDF icon
2. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Create Adobe PDF enables you to create a PDF file without either creating a PostScript file or launching Distiller.
To use Create Adobe PDF, choose File > Page Setup from within any application using the AdobePS 8.6 PostScript Printer Driver, then select Create Adobe PDF as your printer.
Create Adobe PDF requires Adobe Acrobat Distiller 4.0, which is part of the Adobe Acrobat 4.0 package. To learn more about the Adobe Acrobat 4.0 package, visit the Adobe Web site.
Create Adobe PDF also requires AdobePS 8.6 - the Adobe PostScript Printer driver. AdobePS 8.6 is available for free download from the Adobe Web site.
The older PDF Printer Driver Plug-in is not recommended for use with AdobePS 8.6. If you have upgraded to AdobePS 8.6 and do not need to keep AdobePS 8.5.1, you may safely delete any version of the PDF Printer Driver Plug-in that may exist on your computer by dragging the PDFPlugin file from the System Folder : Extensions : Printer Descriptions folder to the Trash.You may also safely delete any desktop printer icon called "Acrobat PDF" by dragging it from the Desktop to the Trash.
