Biography

Jeffry’s addiction to computers started over 20 years ago, when his parents picked up a Radio Shack TRS-80. He wrote his first computer program on that machine and was hooked.  Many years later, while working towards a computer science degree, Jeffry started working as a co-op student at a business-to-business consulting firm.  In 1997, he graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a BS in computer science and took a full time job at the firm, before eventually working himself to the point of burn out.  After a horribly good pizza lunch, Jeffry left there and started DotComIt

DotComIt is an Adobe Solutions Partner focused on helping small businesses utilize technology to work efficiently.  DotComIt is in its’ 9th year in business and is working on a line of commercial Flex components designed to help Flex Developers easily build effective user interfaces.

Jeffry has always loved to educate and has published three books on ColdFusion during the CF5 / CFMX era.  This led him to the ColdFusion Developer’s Journal, where he wrote a beginner’s column up until the magazine’s demise.  He has also written articles for the Adobe Dev Center and Fusion Authority Quarterly Update magazine.  These days, Jeffry focuses on blogging about development issues on his personal blog.  You can also hear his voice as the producer of The Flex Show, an Internet Radio show focused on Adobe Flex and related technologies.

In his spare time, Jeffry loves making music, most notably, with Far Cry Fly an energetic acoustic rock duo.  Occasionally, you can find him “doing sound” for New Music Showcase, a cable access TV show that promotes up and coming bands.
