Workflows (Web services integration)

These preferences enable integration with Acrobat.com's services. You can prevent access to all Acrobat.com services as well as participation in those workflows which are initiated by others.

Alternatively, it is also possible to leverage services other than those provided by Acrobat.com servers. For example, Shared Reviews can be initiated with WebDAV servers, Network Folders, and SharePoint Servers in addition to Acrobat.com. For preferences that may involve more than one service provider, certain settings may disable the feature or just remove Acrobat.com as an option. See bEnableAcrobatHS for an example.

This preference category contains the following subfeature(s):

Services (Acrobat.com)

Summary Toggles the ability to initiate Acrobat.com shared reviews and data collection via distributed forms using Acrobat.com.
Details While this preference prevents initiating a workflow with Acrobat.com services, it does not prevent the use of WebDAV servers, Network Folders, and SharePoint Servers. Instead of removing the Shared Review menu item, a value of 0 simply removes Acrobat.com as a server option for the Comments Repository in the first dialog of the wizard.

Summary Toggles synchronizer communication with Acrobat.com for shared reviews and forms distribution.
Details The synchronizer manages the flow of data between the client and the Acrobat.com. It is a client process that manifests on a machine as AdobeCollabSync.exe that runs as a background process if there are resources to synchronize. It performs bidirectional pushing and pulling of files between the client and a server and also allows clients on a local machine to connect, send commands, and receive notifications. This preference does not interact with email-based review and forms workflows. The shared reviews and Adobe Acrobat Trust List features use the synchronizer. Possible values include:
    • 0: Disable the synchronizer.
    • 1: Enable the synchronizer.
