Hotel check-in
Upon arrival to the Venetian, proceed to the front desk to check into your room. Check-in time is at 3 p.m. and checkout is at 11 a.m. You will be asked to give a credit card imprint upon check-in. Room and tax as well as incidental expenses such as laundry, telephone, fax services, gift shop, in-room mini bar, restaurant, and any meals or snacks taken apart from the sponsored functions will be at your own expense and charged to your credit card.
You may pick up your registration materials at the MAX 2006 registration desk in the convention area of the Venetian Hotel.

Weather
Las Vegas has an arid climate with an average of 320 days of sunshine each year. Average high and low temperatures in October are a high of 81ºF (27ºC) and a low of 57ºF (14ºC), so pack accordingly. Keep in mind that while the temperatures outside may be warm, the hotels are fully air-conditioned and may be cool at times. Bringing a light jacket or sweater is recommended.

Taxicabs are available outside on the east side of baggage claim, outside door exits 1-5. Airport personnel are available at the taxi curb to assist passengers. The average cab fare to the Venetian Hotel from the airport is $20. There is a $1.20 charge on all fares originating at the airport. Taxis will not accept credit card payments.
