"If you own the Adobe Master Suite CS4 (or an earlier version of an Adobe Master Suite), upgrading to the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection is a must… For those of you who have recently purchased Adobe Creative Suite 5 Master Collection, I would still recommend upgrading to CS5.5. Especially if you are developing and designing for mobile devices…and if and you are not currently creating for mobile devices…you will be."

"Overall, there is a lot happening with this intermediate release and a large number of the new features are coming directly from user's requests. Highlights for this release include the latest Acrobat, broad support for tablets and touch-sensitive devices, support for the latest Web standards and some amazing new video and audio features.”
GameDev.net, Kelly Murdock, July 21, 2011
"Mobile is clearly on Adobe’s mind with CS5.5, extending to Dreamweaver with the newly enhanced Multiscreen Preview window that allows you to see how a design will look at three screen sizes as you work—for example, a desktop web browser, an iPhone, and a tablet. It’s a feature that works so well, you’ll wonder how you lived so long without it."
Mac|Life, J.R. Bookwalter, June 14, 2011
"For me, the changes to After Effects, Premiere Pro, and InDesign as well as the addition of Audition would make it worth it to me for the upgrade…"

"Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection delivers the motherload of graphic design tools that can all be used in the compilation of an incredible Adobe Flash, Flex or AIR experience."
Dr. Dobb’s, Mike Riley, October 20, 2010
"Overall, picking the upgrade for Adobe's suite of programs is well worth it to get the new features and getting the whole Master Collection if you need more than a few of the applications just makes money sense."
Associated Content, Jeff Gedgaud
"Overall, the CS5 suite is a very good upgrade. Those who skipped CS4 will appreciate the added speed and stability of CS5. The new features also offer another incentive to upgrade."

"Any software company that would attempt to serve an entire business category with a complete workflow that empowers creation, assembly, analysis, distribution and monetization of work has my unlimited support. Now consider that Adobe has become the dominant force in three business categories – print, interactive web and motion pictures – and has attempted to unify the workflow for all. Add to that the affordability of what Adobe offers, and you want to just take a month off and truly comprehend it all before doing one more project."

Howard Berenbon, Cyber News & Reviews

Ric Getter, MacDirectory
"It's the combination of innovation, integration, and attention to detail that makes Creative Suite 5 great. Regardless of your field of expertise, and regardless of whether you use Creative Suite 5's apps alone or together, you'll agree that CS5 is an impressive work."

Creative software is a vital resource in helping today’s students develop various critical communication and collaboration skills. Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection software was developed by professionals for professionals. Adobe Creative Suite 5 is the perfect foundation for us to quickly achieve a proven, stable, and effective workflow. Graphics were created with Adobe Illustrator® CS5, photos were edited in Adobe Photoshop® CS5, and individual frames from an animation created with Adobe After Effects® CS5 were used to quickly build an interactive 360° rotation of an image included in the digital edition of the magazine.—Eva Braunecker, art and production director, E-3 Magazine
When you create a design using Adobe Illustrator, you have to be able to turn it into a 3D model, reuse vector data so it can be edited in After Effects, revise the model so your engineers can make last-minute improvements, and continue the process without affecting the existing work. We needed tools that would meet our expectations in each of these areas and would also facilitate file exchanges and modifications. We chose Adobe software because designers are very familiar with these tools. A key strength of Creative Suite is the integration among the applications.—Jacques Labouret, trade software manager, Renault
We’re a small company—just co-producer Becky Padilla and myself. Because of this, efficient workflow and productivity are paramount to our success. For me, the key to achieving this is by using the cohesive suite of applications in Adobe CS5 Master Collection.—Elaine Montoya, founder and creative director, the motion group
You can really see the advances in integration among the products in Adobe Creative Suite. That’s vital for our students because they need to make their work shine within an efficient workflow, whether they are producing printed pages or creating content destined for the web, film, broadcast, or mobile devices.—Harley Lingerfelt, vice president for information and technology, SCAD
