Aundre uses this process to quickly create different sizes for social and keep them organized.
Versioning is my secret weapon.
It speeds up my post work.
It allows me to keep everything organized.
I'm not looking for multiple versions - of the same image, not v2 dash one, v2 dash eight.
It's just a black and white version, - color version, Twitter crop version, print version, - and all of it is ready to export directly and stacked in one image - in my Lightroom catalog. -
Open an image in Lightroom and select Versions from the bottom of the Edit panel. If it’s your first time working on the image, the Versions panel shows only the Original version of the image on the list.
Adjust the photo to your liking with the settings in the Light and Color panels. Or, explore the color profiles at the top of the Edit panel to let Lightroom do the editing for you.
Then use tools such as Crop, Heal, and masking if you want to fine-tune it further.
Once you’ve completed a set of edits to an image, click Versions from the bottom of the Edit panel, click Create Version, and give it a name.
If you’d like to experiment with different looks on a photo, or share options with a client, you can save each variation as a separate version.
Export a version by clicking its context menu (the three dots). Choose Export with these settings, and then choose the image type, location, and any other settings you need.
