One of the great things about working with your photos on a mobile device is that you can easily share your images wherever you happen to be.
Lightroom on mobile offers several ways to do this, including the ability to add a border to your image and sharing multiple photos that could be viewed in an online gallery.
Hi, I'm Seán Duggan with the Adobe Learn team.
In this tutorial, we'll cover some of the ways that you can share your images from Lightroom on mobile.
The easiest way to share a single image is from the Edit view, where you can tap the Share icon in the upper right.
On the Share screen, you'll see the images presented in a carousel display, and you can swipe through them and tap the Checkboxes if you want to select additional photos to share.
I'll leave this with just the one photo selected.
If you have an iPhone, you can send the image to Photoshop on the iPhone for further editing.
To access the default sharing options on your phone or tablet, tap the blue Share button.
The sharing options that appear here are determined by the operating system on your mobile device, as well as what social media apps you're connected to.
I'll cancel that to return to the Lightroom Share menu.
In the lower part of this screen, you can choose Save copy to device to export a copy to the default photos app on your phone or tablet.
To customize how the image is saved, tap the Gear icon to open the Export settings.
Here, you can choose the File type as well as the Dimensions of the saved photo.
I've already set a Custom Dimension, with the Long side of the image at 2400px.
I'll tap the Checkmark to close the Export settings.
Now, once you've set those up, you can skip this step for future exports and just tap on Save copy to device to export the file with your settings.
One of the sharing features in Lightroom on mobile that I really love is the ability to add a border to an image.
Once again, I'll tap the Share icon in the upper right, and I'll choose Add border and share...
Here you can choose from a wide range of different colors for the border.
You can adjust the Thickness as well as select from several Border size presets that include some common social media formats.
The addition of a border can really dress up an image.
When you have it looking the way you want, tap the blue Share icon in the upper right to export a copy of the image with the added border.
Now let's see how you can share multiple photos to an online web gallery.
First, I'll choose the images I want to share by pressing on a thumbnail until it's selected, and then tapping on other photos to add them to the selection.
At the bottom of the screen, I'll tap Share and then I'll choose Share on web.
This opens the Share & invite screen.
At the top, it provides a link to a gallery of these photos on the web that I can copy and share with other people.
You can also tap the QR icon to generate a QR code that you can share with other people, so that they can easily view the photos.
If you enable the option for Anyone can add photos, the people that you share with can add their own images once they sign in with an Adobe ID.
The default setting for the link access is Public: Anyone can view.
But you can change that to Invite only if you want to share with specific people.
Tap on Invite people to add the email addresses for the people that you're inviting.
The icon of the address book lets you easily access the contacts on your device, so you can add addresses without having to type them.
And on the far-right of the Invite screen, you can set the access privileges for the shared photos.
On the main Share & invite screen, there are also options for customizing the title and gallery template style.
If you have an entire album that you want to share, just tap the Share icon when you're viewing the album.
You can keep track of your shared photos and albums in the Shared folder in the Lightroom Albums view.
Now that you know how you can export a photo to your device or share directly to social media or to an online web gallery, give some of these sharing features a try with your own photos.
