We have to tell a story in a single image.
The story we have to develop is that of a character, and we have to say who they are and where they belong.
So what we’re going to do is create a collage in Photoshop, where we’ll work with a portrait of this person, a close-up portrait, combining it with a portrait taken from farther away, in other words, an environmental portrait.
In this tutorial, we’re going to develop a character’s story by combining two photographs into a single image.
I suggest you choose an interesting character, it could be a musician, an artist, or one of your friends, go out and take photos, try getting close with the camera and then stepping back, and then apply everything you learned in this tutorial to your own photography.
