Creating URL parameters directly in the browser's Address bar

You can create URL parameters with an HTML anchor tag, with an HTML form, or directly in the browser's Address bar. This section describes the Address-bar method.

The method consists of typing the parameter at the end of the URL in the browser's Address bar.

Clicking Go or pressing the Enter key sends the URL parameter to the server.

Though rarely used with deployed web applications, the technique can be useful when building or debugging pages that rely on URL parameters.
