Send a contract for e-signature in Acrobat

Introduction

[Stefan Gruenwedel]: Hi, my name is Stefan Gruenwedel.

I'm an instructor on the Adobe Learn team.

In this video, I'm going to show you how to send out a contract to a client for signature in Adobe Acrobat.

I'll also show you what the client sees on their end when they sign it.

In the example I'll show you, it'll be a contract for a high-end kitchen remodel.

Set up and send a contract for signature

Here's the contract.

Let's send it out for review.

Scroll to the page where the recipient will sign it.

Select Request e-signatures in the Tools panel.

Enter the person's email address and name.

I'll enter the name Sarah Anderson since she is the primary contact.

Click Prepare document to go to the next step.

Click in the field above the signature line to make it an e-signature field.

Click next to Date to make it a date field.

When you're done setting the field types, click Review & send.

Review the information and then click Send.

You'll see a success screen when it's been sent.

You'll also receive an email from Adobe Sign indicating that the contract has been sent out for signature.

See what your recipient experiences

Now let's see how the recipient signs the contract.

In this example, Sarah Anderson receives an email requesting her signature.

She clicks the Review and sign button in the email to view the PDF in a browser.

She sees that there are two required fields.

She clicks to sign the contract and then clicks to set the date she signed it.

Clicking Submit sends it back to the sender.

Here's the confirmation email from Adobe Sign indicating that it's been signed.

That's how you get a contract reviewed and signed in Adobe Acrobat.
