No Illustrator, você pode adicionar imagens rasterizadas, como aquelas tiradas do celular, aos seus projetos.
Selecione Arquivo > Inserir para inserir uma imagem ao seu documento. Na caixa de diálogo Inserir, selecionar a opção Vincular cria um vínculo com a imagem original. Se a imagem for atualizada fora do Illustrator, ela será atualizada no seu documento do Illustrator automaticamente. Desmarcar a opção Vincular ao inserir uma imagem faz com que ela seja incorporada ao documento do Illustrator.
Escolha a ferramenta Seleção no painel Ferramentas e arraste um canto com a tecla Shift pressionada para redimensionar a imagem. Quando terminar, solte o botão do mouse e depois a tecla.
Clique no botão Cortar imagem no painel Propriedades à direita do documento para cortar partes de uma imagem. Arraste uma das alças em volta da imagem para remover partes indesejadas. Clique em Aplicar no painel Propriedades.

No menu Efeitos, confira os diferentes efeitos do Illustrator e do Adobe Photoshop. Os efeitos do Illustrator são efeitos vetoriais. Os efeitos do Photoshop são efeitos rasterizados.
Para aplicar um efeito, clique em Escolher um efeito no painel Propriedades.
Para editar um efeito, clique no nome dele no painel Propriedades para abrir as opções do efeito na caixa de diálogo.
Para abrir o painel Aparência, selecione Janela > Aparência ou clique em Mais opções na seção Aparência do painel Propriedades. O painel Aparência mostra o que está selecionado no documento e os atributos de aparência aplicados à arte. Para ocultar temporariamente um efeito aplicado à arte, clique no ícone de olho à esquerda do nome do efeito no painel Aparência. Para editar um efeito, clique no nome dele no painel Aparência.

Selecione Janela > Pincéis para abrir o painel Pincéis, que contém pincéis padrão e os pincéis criados no documento.
Escolha a ferramenta Seleção e clique para selecionar artes vetoriais. No painel Pincéis, clique em um pincel na lista para aplicá-lo.
Altere a espessura do traçado no painel Propriedades, e o tamanho do pincel refletirá a mudança.
