Projekte öffnen oder erstellen – Zusammenfassung
Der Startbildschirm enthält eine Liste Ihrer zuletzt geöffneten Projekte.
Wählen Sie auf dem Startbildschirm die Schaltfläche Neues Projekt, um ein neues Projekt zu erstellen. Um eine bestehende Projektdatei zu öffnen, klicken Sie auf Projekt öffnen.

Aktive Bedienfelder sind blau umrandet. Klicken Sie auf ein Bedienfeld, um es zu aktivieren und auf die zugehörigen Optionen zuzugreifen.
Die Menüleiste
(ganz oben) enthält u. a. die Menüs „Datei“, „Bearbeiten“ und „Komposition“, über die Sie verschiedene Befehle, Einstellungen und Bedienfelder aufrufen können.
Auf der Werkzeugleiste (unter der Menüleiste, links oben) finden Sie Werkzeuge zum Hinzufügen und Bearbeiten der Elemente in Ihren Kompositionen. Ähnliche Werkzeuge sind in Gruppen zusammengefasst. Sie können darauf zugreifen, indem Sie auf der Werkzeugleiste ein Werkzeug länger anklicken.
Das Bedienfeld Projekt (links oben unter der Werkzeugleiste) dient zum Importieren, Suchen und Organisieren der Elemente für Ihre After Effects-Projekte. Im unteren Fensterbereich können Sie neue Ordner und Kompositionen erstellen sowie Einstellungen für Elemente und Projekte ändern.
Das Kompositionsfenster
(in der Mitte) zeigt die derzeit geladene Komposition. Kompositionen bestehen aus einer oder mehreren Ebenen von Video- und/oder Grafikelementen, die auf der Zeitleiste übereinander angeordnet sind.
Die Zeitleiste (unten) zeigt die Ebenen der derzeit geladenen Komposition an.
Um Ihr Projekt zu schließen, wählen Sie Datei > Projekt schließen.

Medien importieren
So importieren Sie Elemente in ein Projekt.

Wählen Sie auf der Menüleiste Datei > Importieren > Datei
, um das Dialogfeld „Datei importieren“ aufzurufen. Navigieren Sie zu den für Ihr System verfügbaren Dateien, und wählen Sie die Elemente aus, die Sie importieren wollen.
Mit einem Doppelklick in einen leeren Bereich des Bedienfelds „Projekt“ können Sie das Dialogfeld „Datei importieren“ direkt öffnen, ohne über das Dateimenü zu gehen.
Importierte Dateien werden in After Effects-Projekte nicht eingebettet. Stattdessen wird ein Verweis auf ihren Speicherort erstellt.
Dateien, die in ein Projekt importiert wurden, müssen nicht zwingend in einer Komposition genutzt werden.

Wenn Sie im Bedienfeld „Projekt“ ein Element auf das Symbol für neue Ordner ziehen, wird ein neuer Ordner erstellt, und das Element wird automatisch zu diesem Ordner hinzugefügt.
Etiketten bieten eine übersichtliche Methode, mehrere Elemente in einem Projekt zu organisieren und auszuwählen.
Mithilfe der Spalten im Bedienfeld können Sie Elemente suchen und anordnen.
Über das Suchfeld sind die gewünschten Elemente schnell auffindbar.
Um eine Datei aus einem Projekt zu löschen, ziehen Sie das entsprechende Element auf den Papierkorb im unteren Bereich des Bedienfelds „Projekt“.
