Animierte GIF-Dateien sind aus dem Web heute nicht mehr wegzudenken. Mit animierten Bildern lassen sich komplexe Storys leichter vermitteln – und mit Adobe Photoshop geht das ganz schnell. Sieh dir an, wie Designerin und Texterin Kendall Plant eine Skizze zum Leben erweckt, indem sie daraus eine GIF-Animation macht.

Skizzen erstellen.
Als Erstes erstellt Kendall Plant Variationen ihrer ursprünglichen Zeichnung, die den Bewegungsablauf darstellen, und speichert diese als separate Dateien. Sie öffnet die erste Skizze in Photoshop und zieht die übrigen Dateien vom Desktop in das Dokument. Durch Drücken der Eingabe- bzw. Enter-Taste wird jede Datei auf einer eigenen Ebene platziert. Sie entsperrt die Ebene mit dem Originalbild, indem sie auf das Schlosssymbol klickt.
2 Zum Leben erwecken.
Um ihre Skizzen zu animieren, öffnet Kendall Plant die Zeitleiste (Fenster > Zeitleiste), wählt aus der Dropdown-Liste „Frame-Animation erstellen“ und dann im Bedienfeldmenü „Frames aus Ebenen erstellen“. Wenn du schon mal mit der Zeitleiste gearbeitet hast, sollten standardmäßig leere Frames angezeigt werden. Klicke in diesem Fall auf den ersten Frame, halte die Umschalttaste gedrückt und klicke auf den letzten. Wähle im Bedienfeldmenü „Frames löschen“ aus. Jetzt kannst du „Frames aus Ebenen erstellen“ auswählen.
3 Timing der Animation anpassen.
Um für jeden Frame dieselbe Anzeigedauer festzulegen, klickt Kendall Plant auf den ersten Frame auf der Zeitleiste und dann bei gedrückter Umschalttaste auf den letzten. Nun kannst du in einem Frame auf den Nach-unten-Pfeil klicken und das Intervall auf 0,1 Sekunden setzen. Alle ausgewählten Frames werden aktualisiert. Als Nächstes wählt Kendall Plant im Dropdown-Menü unter der Zeitleiste „Unbegrenzt“, damit die Animation in einer Endlosschleife abgespielt wird. Klicke auf den Abspielen-Pfeil, um eine Vorschau der Animation zu sehen.
4 Als GIF-Datei exportieren.
Wähle „Datei > Exportieren > Für Web speichern (Legacy)“. Wähle „GIF“ als Exportformat aus und „Unbegrenzt“ für die Schleifenwiedergabe.
